Director keeps his feet dry

The artistic director of this year's Round Festival, Simon Clarke, took the small Dorset town of Wimborne by surprise today when he took his bed and planted it in the River Allen at midday today. Press, television and radio were there wish him well on his endeveour to spend a day and a night there. Simon hopes to raise money and profile for the Festival, the only one in the UK that focuses each year on 'theatre-in-the-round'. The festival has attracted a number of performers from all over England.

For now Simon is in good health and high spirits. More news as it comes in.
